YES ENERGY | About us
Built for infrastructure. Powered by partnership.
YES Energy is a renewable energy platform with integrated capability across development, construction, ownership, operations and energy markets.
Who we are
YES Energy develops, builds, owns, operates and optimises renewable energy assets across the National Electricity Market.
Our platform brings together the practical delivery capability of an EPC contractor, the long-term discipline of an asset owner and the commercial capability of a licensed electricity retailer and market participant.
We specialise in mid-scale solar and battery storage projects, with a focus on assets that can be developed efficiently, connected effectively and operated for long-term value.
Our model allows us to link generation directly to consumption — supplying commercial and industrial customers, supporting asset owners and helping accelerate Australia’s transition to cleaner energy.

From regional contractor to renewable energy platform
YES Energy began in regional South Australia as Yates Electrical Services, delivering high-voltage electrical infrastructure and supporting major contractors across the National Electricity Market.
Over time, the business expanded into rooftop solar, battery storage and distributed renewable energy projects. This practical delivery experience became the foundation for a broader platform — one that could not only build renewable energy assets, but also develop them, own them, operate them and manage the electricity they produce.
Today, YES Energy combines development, EPC, operations, retail electricity, trading and asset management capability under one integrated model.

Develop, build and operate
We originate, design, build, commission, operate and maintain renewable energy assets.
Energy retail and market optimisation
We supply electricity to commercial and industrial customers, manage generation and load, administer settlements, manage LGCs and support trading and hedging strategies.
Asset ownership
We own and manage a growing portfolio of solar and battery assets through dedicated project structures, creating long-term infrastructure value.
Why it matters
Australia needs renewable energy that can be delivered faster, operated reliably and connected to real customer demand.
YES Energy’s mid-scale strategy is designed to help meet that need. By focusing on distributed solar and battery assets, including sub-5MW projects, we can support faster deployment, simpler connection pathways and a more diversified renewable energy portfolio.
Our integrated model helps reduce fragmentation. Instead of separating development, construction, ownership, retailing, market operations and asset optimisation, YES Energy brings these capabilities together.

2008 / 2009
Foundation
YES Energy began in Renmark, South Australia, with a focus on high-voltage electrical infrastructure and practical project delivery.
2012
Solar and battery capability
The business expanded into rooftop solar and battery systems for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
2016
Distributed solar farms
YES Energy helped make smaller ground-mounted solar projects viable, creating new opportunities for regional landowners and investors.
2018–2020
Energy market capability
YES Energy entered the National Electricity Market as a small generation aggregator and later obtained a retail electricity licence, allowing the business to connect generation and customer demand more directly.
2020–2023
Institutional EPC delivery
YES Energy expanded its mid-scale solar and battery delivery capability, delivering projects across multiple states and building deeper relationships with network businesses, investors and asset owners.
2023-2025
Ownership and platform growth
With institutional support, YES Energy added asset ownership to its model and began scaling a portfolio of owned solar and BESS assets.
2026 and beyond
Platform scaling
YES Energy is growing as an integrated renewable infrastructure platform, focused on solar, battery storage, retail electricity and market optimisation.
The Future
YES Energy is scaling a renewable energy platform that links generation, storage and customer demand.
Our focus is on developing and owning high-quality renewable assets, supplying energy to commercial and industrial customers, and optimising performance through disciplined operations and market participation.
We are building a platform for long-term renewable energy value.
